The one and only NALDEN got to visit the Koenigsegg factory recently. And, of course, it looked like an awesome and very worthwhile visit (doughnuts in a Koenigsegg might rank pretty high up on the ‘ol to do list before I die). It’s hard to imagine being one of the privileged few that owns one of the most rare and expensive super cars ever built; something that a lot of us will never be able to do. But what’s even harder to wrap my head around is the number of Enzo owners that don’t even drive them. The collectors who cage them up in a barn or storage facility somewhere, never to see the light of day. It’s like buying the finest thoroughbred race horse and taking them straight to the glue factory. Such a waste. Let the Enzo driver below show you how it should be:
AUDI R8 GT SPYDER- GOOD THINGS HAPPEN WHEN THE TOP COMES OFF (VIDEO)
Monday, June 20th, 2011Audi’s newest limited edition R8 is yet another reason to do unspeakable things in order to afford a car. Just like the original R8 GT, the Spyder is once again limited to only 333 being made, the R8 GT Spyder packs the same heat as the hard top version- 5.2-liter V10, 560-horsepower, 197-mph top speed, but is about 22o pounds lighter. 0-60 is a scant 3.6 seconds. Whereas most countries in the world would get a high five or a hand shake to celebrate 10 years of selling Porsche in their country, what does China get? A GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD 911 Turbo S (promise- no more Goldmember references). It’s official name in China is the “10 Year Anniversary Edition” (yawn) and there will be only 10 sold. The only real difference with this 911 compared to other 911 Turbo S’ is the added Aerokit turbo nose, Gold Bronze Metallic paint, a ton of carbon fiber bits and the black Sport Classic wheels. The cost? $537,000. I pity da fool who coughs that up.

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011There is no doubt that Pagani’s $1.3 million dollar super car is a cut above the rest- an AMG twin turbo engine that provides 700bhp, 740lb ft of torque, 230mph top speed and (although childish) likes to pass gas under extreme driving conditions. Yes, pass gas. Watch the video below to see this beautiful car in action and listen in for some interesting sounds (2:21, 2:36, 2:40 and 2:49 are some great examples). According to Top Gear- “the car under ignites for a fraction of a millisecond while it changes gear, which chucks unburned fuel into the exhaust. When the engine resumes ignition, the fuel combusts, creating said ‘booffffffff’ sound.” Pardon you, Huayra.

If Mr. Preuninger thinks that the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is the best yet, then GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. With only 600 being made the RS 4.0 is packing a 4.0 liter flat six that makes 500hp and it weighs in at only 2,998 lbs. Pricing starts out at $185,000. Chump change! Aventador on Aventador- Car Porn at it’s Best (video)
Friday, April 29th, 2011Not too many people know this, but Aventador is an Italian word that loosely translates to “the best reason to sell your first born child.” Which, coincidentally, is exactly what I uttered to myself after watching these two videos. All I have to say to Lamborghini is this- hell yeah. Seriously though- hell yeah. And next time please leave out the cheesy music. Listening to those cars is more than enough music to any Lambo lover’s ears. Enjoy below!
