Move over Zonda, hello Huayra! Pagani revealed it’s replacement to the famed Zonda today, the Huayra. Looks aside (catfish-like front end, right?), the Huayra is a true hypercar. AMG was kind enough to build it’s power plant, a 6.0 liter twin turbo V12 that pushes over 700 hp and 811 lb/ft of torque. The Huayra will go from 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, get up to 230 mph and tastes great with Cajun spices. Take a peek below for more pics and a vid.

WHAT THE FF? FERRARI’S NEWEST CAR, THE FF IS HERE. (pics and video)
Tuesday, January 25th, 2011Honestly, I really didn’t know what to expect of the FF, Ferrari’s first four wheel drive “family car”. And by family car, I mean there is room for 4 people and luggage, but little else resembles your typical family car. Replacing the 612 Scaglietti flagship, the FF has got a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 direct injection engine, with 651bhp and 504 lb-ft of torque. It will get you from 0 to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds and top off at 208mph. It’s shape is definitely different; part BMW M Coupe, part squashed Porsche Panamera, but it’s been steadily growing on me. Successor the the Murciélago, the newest car in Lamborghini’s arsenal will come with a massive 700 hp 6.5-liter V12, and is rumored to hit 0-60 in the sub 3 second range. Tip of the hat to whoever had a camera handy in Italy that night!

Thursday, October 28th, 2010This is quite possibly one of the craziest places I’ve ever seen. Today in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Ferrari World officially opens its doors. And no, the picture below is not computer generated, that is really what it looks like from the air. It’s now the largest indoor theme park on the planet. Ferrari World features tons of shops, restaurants and rides including their crown jewel the Formula Rossa roller coaster, which takes you from 0-60mph in 2 seconds and has a top speed of 150mph. Looks like SOMEONE isn’t running out of money anytime too soon.

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010Brabus’ newest toy is certainly easy on the eyes, but not so easy on gas milage. The SV12 R 800 is powered by the Mercedes S Class twin turbo V12, bored out to 6.3 liters, pushing the horsepower to 788bhp. The 0-62 cruise takes only a brief 3.9 seconds and it has a top speed of 217mph. Not too shabby for a big ol S Class. And of course all the usual refinements: lowered, 21 inch wheels, burley 12 piston brakes and completely re-finished interior.

Friday, October 8th, 2010Talk about going all out. German based Xenatec does everything from custom limos, stretch Audi R8s, armored anything to whatever else you can imagine. Their latest work is equally as impressive, and so is the cost. They took a Maybach 57S and made it a 57S… coupe. To do such a transformation they replaced the side panels, fenders, front and rear bumpers, the doors, cut the roof down and built more sharply angled windshields, front and back. Only 100 will be built, and only by custom order. The cost? A cool $923,000 will do it.

Thursday, September 30th, 2010After all the hype over the past couple months, Lamborghini finally unveiled their new concept car, the Sesto Elemento (sixth element), at the Paris Auto Show yesterday. Be careful though; from the looks of it you could easily cut yourself just getting near this thing. While some like the exterior and others don’t, the true beauty of the this car is the claimed performance. By cutting the weight down to a mere 2,202 lbs, and using their 570hp V10, Lamborghini is saying that the Sesto will rocket you 0-60mph in an astonishing 2.5 seconds. DAMN.
Travis Pastrana vs. Mt. washington (video + pics)
Tuesday, September 14th, 2010New Hampshire had a visit from good ‘ol rally/motocross legend Travis Pastrana last week. And while Mr. Pastrana was in the Granite State, he just happened to set a new record by driving up the Mt. Washington Road faster than anyone else. The previous record was set in 1998 by Frank Sprongl, who reached the top in 6:41.99. Pastrana set a time of 6:20.47…..first try. Tip of the hat to Travis and Redbull for making some rally history, and in our own backyard!
