Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept (pics)

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

After all the hype over the past couple months, Lamborghini finally unveiled their new concept car, the Sesto Elemento (sixth element), at the Paris Auto Show yesterday. Be careful though; from the looks of it you could easily cut yourself just getting near this thing. While some like the exterior and others don’t, the true beauty of the this car is the claimed performance. By cutting the weight down to a mere 2,202 lbs, and using their 570hp V10, Lamborghini is saying that the Sesto will rocket you 0-60mph in an astonishing 2.5 seconds. DAMN.

the wait is over: Gymkhana 3. (video)

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

After the amazing Gymkhana 2 we’ve all been waiting for numero 3, and it’s finally here. Ken Block once again proves his driving prowess, this time in a highly modified Ford Fiesta with 650hp/660 lb-ft of torque at the wheels built by Olsbergs MSE from Sweeden. It was filmed at an amazing location just south of Paris called l’Autodrome de Linas in Linas, France. Built in 1924, the 1.58 mile oval track has massive banks that can reach as steep as 51 degrees. And if you wanna be like Block, click here.

Travis Pastrana vs. Mt. washington (video + pics)

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

New Hampshire had a visit from good ‘ol rally/motocross legend Travis Pastrana last week. And while Mr. Pastrana was in the Granite State, he just happened to set a new record by driving up the Mt. Washington Road faster than anyone else. The previous record was set in 1998 by Frank Sprongl, who reached the top in 6:41.99. Pastrana set a time of 6:20.47…..first try. Tip of the hat to Travis and Redbull for making some rally history, and in our own backyard!

Lexus IS. Nice car and can keep a beat. (video)

Friday, September 10th, 2010

I don’t think the IS is going on tour anytime soon, but it does an awfully nice drum solo in the newest Lexus ad. First time I saw the commercial I thought that this was all faked, but take a peek at the video below to find out how they made this impressive ad.

Transtar Dagger GT (pics)

Monday, September 6th, 2010

Go big or go home. That is exactly what Transtar must have been thinking when they came up with the concept for the Dagger GT. Once built, the Dagger GT will be the fastest car available, with top speeds in the 300+ mph range. Under the hood there will be 2,000hp ready at your beck and call, all of them hungry for records. We here at After FX are quite proud to be a part of this exciting project. Once production begins (which should be next year), each and every Dagger will have a custom interior and paint job by After FX. Be on the lookout for this amazing vehicle soon, and check back for more info.

Coolest bottle opener ever. period. (video)

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

Chris Forsberg is a drifting god. The 2009 Formula Drift Champion has found a very inventive way of opening a nice frosty beverage. Instead of using your typical key chain bottle opener, or even being the tough guy that uses their teeth, Chris uses a Nissan 350Z. Badass? Indeed.

Top gear America plays with some bulls (video)

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Now they might not have the same dynamic as the blokes across the pond, but the Top Gear America team still gets to play with some nice toys. Even though it has the same name, there still seems to be a lot lacking with the feel of the new show. We’ll just have to tune and and see.

It’s official: ferrari 458 recalled (video)

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

I knew that damn Ferrari was too nice to be true, and sure enough, due to the number of BBQ’d 458s around the world they have officially recalled them. Turns out there was an adhesive that attached heat sheilds under the rear fenders that became flammable with high temperatures. Way to go Ferrari! They are replacing the adhesive with rivets that should solve the problem, but sounds like someone was asleep at the wheel with this one.
